Weed Action 2023 calendar

Can you believe it’s time to think of New Year’s resolutions and gifts already? How about adopting one hectare of local land and ensuring it’s weed free or gifting te taioa a tree or two – or better yet, buying a friend or someone in your family a 2023 Weed Action calendar? All proceeds will contribute to our ongoing native habitat restoration mahi!

We would sincerely like to thank our community champions G.A.S. Parua Bay, Manaia Excavators, Totalspan Northland, W.H.A.T Automotive and of course the amazing team at Calders Printing for their generous contribution. We couldn’t have done this without you!

That’s right, we’ve relaunched the world famous in Whangārei Heads calendar. It’s gloriously glossy, artistically informative and shows off some of Whangārei Heads’ worst weeds.

Almost all of the pictures were taken over the past few months in Whangārei Heads, showcasing the natural beauty we are so lucky to call home – but also some serious invasive infestations threatening our native flora and fauna.

We hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery, gain some more ‘weed vision’ and learn how to help our community tackle pest plants through the control methods included on each page.

Pick up a few copies of these stocking fillers from G.A.S. Parua Bay or fill in the order form below. info@weedaction.org.nz
